Other Times and Places

Tales of the Fantastic

What do a thief, wizards, a platypus, ghosts, soft drink salesmen, God, the devil, and a spaceman all have in common? Together they will make you laugh, think, sleep better, open your mind, spark your imagination, and quite possibly improve your complexion* as Joe Mahoney brings them all vividly to life in this humorous and thoughtful collection of seven tales of the fantastic. *Individual results may vary

Step into a world where the boundaries of reality, morality, and imagination are deliciously blurred. Other Times and Places is a dazzling collection of eight stories that traverse sword-and-sorcery adventure, whimsical fantasy, razor-sharp satire, and philosophical drama.

Meet thieves haunted by conscience, wizards who rediscover magic through a child’s eyes, and corporate overlords who can rewrite your desires with a single sip.

From cosmic debates between God and Lucifer to astronauts battling the voices within, each tale is laced with wit, irony, and a deep curiosity about what makes us human.

Whether you crave the thrill of a perilous quest, the laughter of a well-aimed jab at modern life, or the quiet ache of existential longing, Other Times and Places invites you to see the world anew. Perfect for fans of speculative fiction who savor stories that surprise, provoke, and linger long after the final page.

Open the door to the unexpected—your next favorite story awaits.
